Abstract

Gold has become one of the mainstays in the therapy of patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Its beneficial anti-inflammatory effect is limited by its toxicity, including renal involvement. The renal lesion has been shown to be membranous glomerulonephropathy, leading to proteinuria and hematuria. Hematuria has not been well described. We herein discuss its evaluation and management.
